11th Foundation Day on 20th June 2011 Memorable Event celebrating a decade of CARF

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation had organized a grand function to celebrate its 11th Foundation Day on Wednesday  the 20th June 2011 at Sri Shanmukhananda Hall

Prof. Rehan A. Kazi (Secreatry General), Dr Raj Tendulkar (Trustee & Senate Member-Maharastra State, Board Member-Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals), Dr. Vibas Modak (Head, Orthopedic Dept. Saifee Hospital, Mumbai, Mr. Shafi Parkar (Retd. Justice), Prof. A. A. Kazi (Chairman),   Mr. B. N. S Ratnakar – G.M.-PR, CC, Marketing – Corporate Ofice, Central Bank of India, Mumbi. (Chief Guest), Prof Kader Khan (Noted, Film Actor), Mr. Zafar Saifulla (IAS  Cadre & Patron) Mrs. Rashida Kazi (Trustee & Ex. Principal-Anjuman Islam Girls School Bandra), Mrs. Ratoo Dastoor ( Trustee & Niece of Ex. Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi), & Mr. Shamshi Mulla (Trustee) had occupied the dais. At the outset Prof. A. A. Kazi felicitated all the Guests of Honors by offering them a Flower Bouquet. Chief Guest Mr. B. N. S. Ratnakar was also presented a Memento by Prof. A. A. Kazi. Mr. B. N. S. Ratnakar released the souvenir, which was distributed among the Guests of Honors, Guests, Press & Media,  Audience  & Trustees of the Foundation..Thus after the Floral and Felicitation  Program, an entertainment program by the great Comedian Mr. Raju Srivastava along with his band of artistes was performed. Ms. Nazia  Hussain (noted film actress ) along with Mr. Aditya Samanta (noted film actor) came in the last hours of the program.

“ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL AWARD” to Prof. A. A. Kazi for the year 2012


Prof. A. A. Kazi, Chairman-“Cancer Aid & Research Foundation” gets honored by the prestigious “ASIA PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL AWARD” on 18th May 2012 at Tashkent (Uzbekistan) by “Global Achievers Foundation “,.
This award function, which had an overwhelming participation of various noted personalities and dignitaries all around the world.
His Excellency Dr. Padmasha Jha - Pro Vice Chancellor, BRA, Bihar University, Mr. Bayot Dakhmator - Director & Prof. in Science dept. of South-Asian Language, University of Tashkent, Prof. Mukhayo Abdullaywa-Lecturer, State Institute of Oriental Studies, Tashkent, Mr. Anees Durrani – Sec., (Minority Department ) for All India Congress Committee. Shri Mahant Devendra Dass Ji Maharaj – Chairman, “Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission ” , Dehradun (Uttarakhand). Were present in this award function.

Anti Tobacco Day


Cancer Aid and Research Foundation advocates no cancer and provides free medical counseling and financial aid to the needy poor cancer patients. Since its birth on 12th September 2001, it has successfully implemented its fundamental goal of reaching out to the needy cancer patients.
The total amount of help disbursed from the financial Year 2001-2002 to 2010-2012 (upto 31st Mar 2012) (amongst 5692 patients spread over 780 hospitals is Rs. 11.29  Crores.  In an addition to this, on the Anti Tobacco Day when all the Mumbai was affected by Bharat Bandh,  the Foundation with the help of BMC officers, organized Successfully a Free Medical Camp in Mufti Fauz Dawakhana, BMC Health Centre, Souter Street, Meghraj Sethi Marg, Opp. Jhula Maidan – 8.

This Camp was started at 10 am and was continued up to 1:00 pm. In this Camp Free General Checkup was done by the Prominent Doctors from well known famous hospitals of Mumbai where more than 140 Patients were get checked. Here in this Camp the patients with different disease were detected, directed and distributed free medicines.  Out of 140 patients 4 patients were found suspicious to be infected with Cancer and were directed for better treatment.  In this Camp we showed the Anti Cancer awareness films and distributed  Leaflets, Brochures, Handbills that guides the common man for Cancer. In this Camp all the Staff of PPD & PSD Department along with their Chairman (Prof. A. A. Kazi), Trustee (Dr. Raj Tendulkar) and Doctors were present to get rid of Common and Poor people’s  disease. In the last the Doctors were get awarded for their contributions and BMC Officers were thanked for their support.
