"Housefull2" Premier Show

On the 6^th of April a Premier Show of Houseful 2 for a Nobel Cause was organized at PVR JUHU in alliance with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Videocon, Geetanjali, & 3^rd Rock Entertainment

In  this Premier Show the known personalities ie, Akshay Kumar, Zarine Khan, Jackueline Fernandez, Asin Thottumkal, Shanaz Padmsee, Wardha Nadiadwala, Prof. A. A. Kazi, Dr. Raj Tendulkar, Mr. Shamshi Mulla, Mr Aniruddha Dhoot (Videocon) Mr. Prashant(3^rd Rock Entertainment),  Rajiv Paul and the complete team of our Foundation along with Cancer Patient was present.

In this Premier Show An appeal (We request you to Please Donate Generously to Cancer Aid & Research Foundation for a Noble Cause for which You will get Tax exemption through 80 G Certificate) was announced by the Host Rajiv Paul.

Prof A. A.  Kazi welcome the Star Casts of the Movie Houseful 2 and he also presented the Star Casts Mementos. Bouquets were presented to the Cancer Patients and the Star casts . The Akshay Kumar and others Star Casts meet personally with the Cancer Patients. Our Trustee Rashida Kazi presented the Gifts to all the cancer patients. The Main Sponsor of the whole Premier Show was Videocon and MTS. In this Premier Mr. Aniruddha Dhoot from Videocon was also present. This all the function lasted for half an hour which was started at 8:00 pm and after this all the patients enjoyed the Movie.

4th CARF Annual Award Function

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation is a registered medical NGO established in the year 2001 with a mission to help the poor and needy cancer patients. Our core objective is to supply anti cancer medicines free of charge to the patients so as to get them cured and enjoy a fresh lease of life. This year we celebrated  4th  CARF  Annual  Awards  Function  on  18^th  February  2012  From  3.00  pm  to  6.00  pm at “Rangaswar ”  Y.B.Chavan Pratishthan.

Shri  Sharad  Goel, Senior VP Corporate  Communication  Reliance  was the  chief  Guests  &  Reliance commercials was  sponsors for this event .   Shri A.K. Khadke, Zonal Manager of Mumbai Zone, Central Bank was the Guest of Honour & Central Bank was co-sponsor for the function.

Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of cancer was given to (Prof.) Dr. Biswajit   Sanyal, MD (AIIMS), Msc – Nuclear Medicine (Lon), Fellow College of Radiation Oncologist of India (FICRO), Fellow Indian Physical Society of India (FIPS),M.D. Ms. Sr. Consultant and Head of the Department  of Radiation Oncology, Dharamshila Hospital and Research Centre, Delhi, India.

Award for Excellence In the field of Oncology was given to Prof. Manoj Sharma, MD. FICR, MNAMS Oncologist, Radiotherapist and Cancer Educator Advisor, Cancer Control Programme, Govt. of Delhi. Associate Professor of Radiotherapy Maulana Azad Medical Collage New Delhi. 

Award for Outstanding Contribution In the field of Cancer was given to Mr. Sagir  Deshmukh M.S.W. B.A. Medical Social Worker, The Medical Social Services, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Rehan A. Kazi,Secretary General, CARF & Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon and few words by Mr. Suresh Sharma, Chairman-SK Consulting Group, Vice President: India China Economic & Cultural Council.

World Cancer Day

On the occasion of the World Cancer Day the CARF team literally took to the streets to spread cancer awareness by way of distributing cancer information leaflets, bulletin, information etc.  CARF’s staff and volunteers also distributed ‘anti smoking’ stickers to the car owners in different parts of Mumbai. CARF is doing its best to prevent cancer by creating awareness about the dreaded disease

Prof. A. A. Kazi, Chairman of Cancer Aid & Research Foundation was honored by the prestigious “GLOBAL ACHIEVERS AWARD” for Outstanding Achievements & Distinguished Global Service by the Citizens Integration Peace Society (Regd.).

The award function which had an overwhelming participation from various noted personalities and dignitaries, was held on 27^th December 2011 – Dubai (U.A.E.) along with a high level conference on “CELEBRATING THE GLOBAL INDIAN”.

Prof. A. A. Kazi, Chairman of Cancer Aid & Research Foundation was honored by the prestigious “INDIRA GANDHI SADBHAVNA AWARD” for Social Service, by the Citizens Integration Peace Society-New Delhi.

The award function which had an overwhelming participation from various noted personalities and dignitaries, was held on 18^th November 2011 - New Delhi on the 94^th Birth Anniversary of Late Smt.Indira Gandhi.
