Christmas Party for Cancer Patients

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation a registered Medical NGO recently organized a Christmas Party for young cancer patients.

It was memorable day for nearly 20 young cancer patients enjoying Christmas party, playing and dancing with Santa Claus. There was also a magic show which the children’s thoroughly enjoyed. Even they have given their best dance Performance. In the end children’s were given gifts & fruits along with the patient’s attendance even the staff have enjoyed the day.

CARF ORATION & AWARDS 2012

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation is a registered medical NGO established in the year 2001 with a mission to help the poor and needy cancer patients. Our core objective is to supply anti cancer medicines free of charge to the patients so as to get them cured and enjoy a fresh lease of life. This year we celebrated  CARF Oration & Awards 2012 function on  22^nd   December  2012  From  3.00  pm  to  6.00  pm at “Rangaswar ”  Y.B.Chavan Pratishthan.

Mr. A. K. Khadke G.M., Zonal Branch, Central Bank of India, Mumbai was Patron in Honor but due to some circumstances Mr. S. K. Srivastava represented the function and  Mr.K.V.Srinivasan, CEO,Reliance Commercial Finance was the chief Guest. Central Bank of India, & Reliance Commercial Finance, were the Sponsors for this event. The Program started with the Felicitation of  all the Guests. Other Guest of Honor for the function  were Ms. Rohini-RJ-Trustee, Dr. A. R. Undre, Dr Satish Kamath, Dr. Milind Shirodkar, Dr. Rushi Deshpande, Mrs. Ratoo Dastoor, Mrs Ratoo Dastoor,  Mr. Suresh Sharma and Dr. Piloo Hakim.

Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of cancer was given to Dr. A.V. Lakshmanan, Advisor II Cancer Institute Ex Director Cancer Institute,Chennai & who was the Orator of this function  by  Mr. S. K. Sristava Asst. G.M., Zonal Branch, Central Bank of India.

Award for Excellence in the field of Oncology was given to Dr. R. Ravi Kannan, Director, Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Silchar by Mr.K.V.Srinivasan, (Chief Guest) CEO,Reliance Commercial Finance.

Award for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Cancer was given to Dr.(Capt.) Ritu Biyani Dental Surgeon & Cancer Survivor turned Cancer Crusader Founder & Project Director, HIGH>>>>WAYS…INFINITE, Member-UICC,WHO GDG,IAPC & Limka Book of Record Holder by Chairman of CARF, Prof. A. A. Kazi.

The Complete Program was hosted by RJ and Trustee Ms. Rohini  . Speakers for the function were Dr. A. V. Lakshmannan, Dr. R. Ravikannan, & Dr. Ritu Biyani. Question & Answer Session was for about more than 30 minutes and in this doubts of the audians were clarified by the doctors. On an average in this function more than  350 presentees were there with more than 150 doctors. Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Piloo Hakim Prof Emeritus.

Flight of Fantasy

Jet Airways had invited Cancer Aid & Research Foundation to celebrate Children’s Day on 10^th November 2012, which coincides with Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday, who was also popularly known as “Chacha Nehru.” Dr. Rizwana & the group of young children (Cancer Patients) participated in the “Flight of Fantasy” event at Santacruz Domestic Airport, Mumbai.

Magic show, dance party was organized by Jet Airways for Children. All children were dancing & enjoyed themselves. They were happy to travel in aero plane. All children were happy after getting gifts & prizes by Jet Airways & Cancer Aid & Research Foundation.

The “Flight of Fantasy “event was every interesting and all the child cancer patients were delighted to enjoy the aero plane ride around the metropolis of Mumbai. The Chairman thanked the Jet Airways for its wonderful gesture toward Cancer Aid & Research Foundation.

Rose Day 2012

Cancer Aid & Research Foundation  (CARF) a registered medical NGO provides free medical and financial aid to cancer patients Celebrated World Rose Day on 22^nd September 2011 in the pediatric ward of Sir. J. J. Hospital, Mumbai. This was the way of showing patients that our foundation are with them in their battle against disease, and our caring with believing in sharing their pain. The event was started  at 11:30 am in the pediatric ward of the hospital With the hands of Dr. Raj Tendulkar (Trustee), RJ Rohini (93.5 Red FM) and Dr. Sutay (Prof. Pediatric Dept., J. J. Hospital), This Celebration was attended by almost all the doctors of the Pediatric dept. J. J. Hospital.

In this event all the patients from the Pediatric ward were distributed Roses, Apples and Gifts. A small program was also performed by the RJ Rohini (93.5 Red FM) for the patients. In the last moments of the program Dr. Sutay and Dr Rathod were honored by the foundation by presenting Memento.
