CARF ORATION & AWARDS 2013 FUNCTION HELD ON SATURDAY,16th November, 2013
AT RANGSWAR, Y. B. CHAVAN PRATISHTHAN, MUMBAI-400 021
TIME:3.00 TO 6.00 PM



Cancer Aid & Research Foundation is a registered medical NGO established in the year 2001 with a mission to help the poor and needy cancer patients. Our core objective is to supply anti cancer medicines free of charge to the patients so as to get them cured and enjoy a new lease of life. This year we celebrated  CARF Oration & Awards 2013 function on  16th November 2013  from  3.00  pm  to  6.00  pm at “Rangaswar ”  Y. B. Chavan Pratishthan, Nariman Point, Mumbai- 400 021.

The subject of Oration was “Experience of a Physicist in Cancer Institute” and our objective to celebrate Oration was to acknowledge the contribution of individuals in the field of Cancer. This Function was supported by Canara Bank. Shri BalaChandra KS Rao, General Manager, Mumbai region, Canara Bank was the Chief Guest.

Rev. Fr. Joe Pereira, Founder & Managing Trustee of Krupa Foundation & Recipient of PadmaShree Award was the President of the Function.

Mr. Suresh Sharma, Chairman of S.K. Consulting Group, Chairman Global Cancer Mission & Executive VP, India China Economic & Cultural Council & Well Wisher of CARF also graced the Function.

CARF Chairman Emeritus Prof. A.A. Kazi and CARF Chairman Prof. Dr Rehan A Kazi honoured the guest on Dias and in his speech he requested the BMC to reconsider their decision of asking CARF to vacate their place.

Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of cancer was given to Dr. I. S. Bala Krishnan, Consultant Medical Physics Department, Cancer Institute, Chennai, who was also our Orator of the program.

Award for Excellence in the field of Oncology
was given to Dr. Priyadarshini Kulkarni, Medical Director, Cipla Palliative Cara & Training Centre, Pune.

Award for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Cancer was given to Ms. Lissl P. Joshep, who was retired Register nurse from Tata Memorial hospital, and the Award was received by Ms Jyoti Patel of Tata Memorial Hospital on her behalf.
